Funky Jams for All! Post here!

Great singer he is.

I was looking at him last week

He is. I've been to 3 of his concerts I believe. Often I play Ordinary People when I'm wiring trees. Gets me focused and in the groove + it's 18 mins long on my iPod.
Hitchhiker is another fav but Pocahontas as light sounding and as sad as it is, is a powerful tune. I think it's my favourite Neil Young tune.

I discovered this song last night.

I'm not sure how I existed BEFORE, but NOW, afterwards, I can guarantee that this track will be stuck in my head for years. (You have been warned)

HA!
I know this guy's music!
But I was introduced via this one.
When I was a little guy... Pizza Hut ran this promotion where you got a free, customized CD with a purchase of like 3 pizzas at one shot (or something like that). I remember selecting Robbie William's "Millennium" as one of my song choices.

🤣

Talking a bout birds : I discoved that my best ex-girl friend is a fan of trad music from Scotland, my !
Sent her links about uilean pipes like this one and...

... and others, but Liam O'Flynn will always remain as, whatsit in English, a milestone ? A reference.

And in these times of blaming those who are different, from outside our neatly done little place...
We are the fruit of our difference.

I first heard this song in 1972 or so, sung by an Irishman, a duet with a Dutchman in the days of dope and folk songs

He sang it "a capella", and I remembered it for years.

Here's a version that sounds to me like US coutry music, but I like it too.
I mean this version, and country music too  .

This version by non-professional is a step towards what it sould sound like. The keyboard imposing a two-time beat is irrelevant : each word should have its own length, thus making the melody fitting to the words.

An "a capella" version would be the best, but this one is modest, but more sincere :

Here a little contribution I found this morning, a little hint of Disturbed's David take on Sound of Silence. This is the first video I see from this channel, I am really appreciating the few new metal singers that actually have an extended range and no dumb auto-tune garbage.

Might have had better luck with the kids if that was the one I'd found.
