Free seedlings!

My girlfriend and I went for a little walk through the horticultural garden here at Virginia Tech and I found all sorts of trident and jap. Maple seedlings. I can't believe I payed $$ for those things a few months ago. Now I know!

What are they going to do with them other than weed them out like dandelions. Just don't make a big deal out of your good luck any further. I have seen wonderful opportunities like this disappear because some ape in your following decides he is going to go through and accomplish the same thing using a front loader and an excavator.

I used to do business with a local nursery that would let me into the back forty where it was closed to the public. One of the members of our club heard about it and went there and simply bogarted his way into the same area. He made a Jack-Ass of himself and caused the nursery to close the entire area off to everyone with no exceptions.

Yeah don't ask, don't tell.. Well I told, but no one stopped me and I wasn't there for hours collecting, so the way I see it.. No harm, no foul. The place will be weeded soon and all those will end up in the compost bin. Anyways, now I got some forest material for the future!
