Flowers 2025

Young kojo no mai without much interest…unless it's covered in flowers!View attachment 585779
I mostly do azaleas, but I have numerous other flowering species—the aforementioned apricot and quince, plus a couple of white quinces, a sand cherry, choke cherry, and a flowering almond—none of which are eye-catching bonsai, except when they are in bloom. And then they just take my breath away. I came to bonsai after 25 years of raising antique English roses, so it’s always been the flowers that make my tail wag.

My white ume (Josephine) are putting on a show this year

They smell gooood

I’m waiting on a Fragrant Snow that looks similar to this and apparently smells of cinnamon. It’s coming from GA so I’m guessing it has already bloomed and I’ll be waiting for next season. 😕
