Greetings,

It’s me again. Today I opted for going to a nursery and a big box store for this ficus. I really like this ficus and it’s now in a pot I made in a bonsai potting workshop. The second juniper I had died in this pot and I’m hoping this will be better suited. As always please leave your crits. Also I got a dwarf jade and would like to know what you would do with it. I love the ponytail palm and I’m wondering if you believe the jade cuttings would grow into a mame or something.

Much obliged,
Nurvbonsai

Can I offer this picture as something I am interested in. Would you let the tree continue to grow to achieve this effect? Open to other suggestions. Thanks so much.

I also had this little pot laying around and this cutting seemed to fit perfectly.

The pot is plenty big enough for your Ficus so no reason it will not do well.
Note your ficus appears to be a grafted tree. If you notice any new shoots with larger leaves appear cut them off before they get too big. Shoots from the root stock can easily swamp the smaller, grafted branches.

There's nothing for scale in the jade pictures but the 2 advanced plants have very small leaves so those trunks are probably much larger than mame size to achieve this effect.
You can develop your jade into whatever shape and size you want. It's just a matter of pruning to achieve the desired size and shape.
