Here's an update after two years. This tree really struggled and ended up dropping the lower branches, however, the top has done well. The plan is for some aggressive chopping next spring to reduce the top and get some budding back on the lower branches to redo the branching.

Also will be treating for beech leaf disease via fertilizer application.
