So I fried my Seryu and Deshojo layers and decided to visit Evergreen's site to replace my losses. Of course, Brent had a ridiculously wide selection of trees and I found a seryu and deshojo. I picked up a butterfly maple and burgundy lace for good measure. Delivery was fast and trees were packed well. Most importantly, trees are very healthy and nice looking (I'm getting a lot of compliments on the butterfly). Curious that this was the first time I bought trees from Brent. It won't be my last. Great vendor.

Very nice… I’ve been wanting to place an order there. Photos of you new trees?

Brent is the man! I have never been, or heard of anyone been disappointed with his material or services. Also, if you have any question about the trees, shoot him and email an he usually replies within a day or two.

His site is dangerous. I promised myself no more trees, but Brent makes that impossible. I literally made a list of at least 2 dozen more trees I want from him.

I've purchased a few small things over the years and have never been disappointed. Healthy material, well packed, easy to deal with and Brent will spend time answering questions. Have never ordered any larger or specimen sized trees but many here have and I can't remember seeing many if any complaints.

Here is an old thread showing some material purchased from @Brent over the years. He has great material, feel free to add to the thread.

Here to echo the fact that Brent is amazing. I've gotten virtually all my quinces for various projects from him and they've all been in superb health. I'm fairly certain I'll go through him when I'm looking to pick up a Crabapple or two next year, hard to beat his selection on cultivars.

Ive ordered quite a few chojubai from him, Everything always came healthy and in good condition.

The trees. From left to right: deshojo, butterfly, seryu and burgundy lace. The seryu had a very branch on one side so I wired the tree tot he pot to prevent it from falling over.

Evergreen gardenworks is great, even more so if you have the ability to grow stuff out. I don't know anyone else in the country that sells ungrafted Ume. I've watched his stock and availability decrease a lot in the last few years as more and more people scoop em up.

Ume, quince, hornbeam, itoigawa, corkers...he has it all. I have a willow i bought from him that came in a 2 inch pot. I planted it out and is now 20 feet high in my yard with a trunk probably 8-10 inches wide. I'll leave it forever.

I first discovered Evergreen at a time when I swore off buying any more younger material. Once I had a few trees that were other than sticks and I actually had a little bonsai work to do, I rediscovered Evergreen. So much easier and more rewarding to patiently allow younger trees to grow out if one has other bonsai things to do in the interim.
