Hello guys, update on my little tree. I replanted it into a shallower pot, using bonsai soil mixed with perlite and mycoriza. The pleasant surprise was that my beech is actually a hornbeam 
.
The nasty surprise is that it had way less roots left than I expected. To keep things balanced I trimmed the branches a little and shortened it above some branches that i can eventually use to build it a new apex.
Thoughts?
