End of season update on some spring collections - Piñon Pine

current status.

Reduced candle length about a month ago, cleaned out old needles. Some of this years candles were so strong, others not so much. Attempted to balance the energy.

Wired out the tree and extended the shari. I like the lanky branches and will focus on bifurcations moving forward and will probably remove more branches as the years move on.

This next spring will mark two years on this rock. Thinking I want something much simpler. I just scored this drum pot from an estate sale and did a mock up.

The rock with the accent plants/cacti are really stunning and creates alot of character. It adds an element of ruggedness and originality. I personally prefer it to the drum.
But I see why you would want to simplify.

Thank you! The plan actually, is to keep the cactus and grasses. I just need a smaller footprint.
