Early spring in South Louisiana???

Mid-January and my mulberries are flushing out. That is early, even in our climate. We normally get some more cold in Feb. I slip potted a couple of them and plan to protect them if we get more freezing temperatures.

Even the fig tree in the background of the second pic is leafing out.

It has been a crazy year so far it's 60 here today. But swinging back the other way after the front goes thru later...

Same thing here in BR. I have maple seedlings that are budding. Also, my Crepes and Camellia is budding at the main trunk. Very confusing for a beginner! HA LOL!!!
