Dormancy

Can I assume that if I am bringing a tree in from outside, and the Anderson flat, 15" X 15" X 6" it is in, is frozen solid, that this tree will remain dormant as long as the soil in the pot stays frozen even though the air temp in garage might be 65 F? It is a pretty good sized tree and I am putting movement in the trunk (done), and now I want to wire branches. It's been in almost 2 hrs now and wiring will take another two I will guess. Help always appreciated.

I wouldn't blink at bringing a tree in to wire for an afternoon, then move it back outside. Leave it in the warm garage for more than a few days and all bets are off.

One day definitely won't bring the tree out of dormancy.
