The democrats, to this day hold black people, and all minorities, to a lower standard than everyone else. They " keep them on the plantation" with welfare and poor education in a every major city in America. It's called "the soft bigotry of low expectations". I've seen it, I know it, I've lived it, and its sick.

Interesting variety of opinions and experiences regarding his personality and character.

I find it unlikely that Trump as depicted through his well publicized speeches and statements are a realistic reflection of his actual character. I don't think I need to say this, but having controversial or near radical ideas easily garner attention and publicity. His actions probably create a grounds from which he can better compete for the presidency than if he were to take a more serious position. I haven't followed his candidacy much so I don't have a good grasp over his policies and positions but I'm inclined to believe that there is "more" than just what the media covers. Not that I'm a Trump supporter, but dismissing him just as some heretic seems too simple. Taking him as he presents himself though I would have to jump in the bandwagon of Trump haters.

You know what I find so amusing and difficult to explane? So many people are so vocal about how much they dislike Donald Trump, almost no one I personally know admits to liking him and yet he is slamming everyone in the poles. Maybe many of those who say they don't like Trump are actually Closet Trumpetiers.

If this is true, they all wouldn't be so scared....
It's not about demican vs republicrat, it's not about conservative vs liberal....
This time around, it's about national security, national identity, and weather or not this nation has a future as a sovereign nation, or a future as New West China....
There is more at stake than stupid ideology this time....
Normally I'd call someone like Trump a big time lefty....
But if I take him at his word, he's the only hope to save what's left of the land opportunity....imho...
(personally I still think the evil establishment will find a way to steal away the people's candidate)
On the other hand, he could be selling a bag of lies, just like everyone else....at least he seems different than the status quo...

Truth is; The Republican Party has been destroying itself for the last twenty years for a host of reasons. I have been a registered Republican for more than forty seven years.

This is the kind of thinking that allows a despot like Trump to rise so close to winning the presidency. He's bad for us.

The only political topics I have searched on this phone are this thread and the caucus/primary results.


I had two adds about republican politics and I have never even typed that word on my phone, not really sure where its coming from.
 
I believe that Trumpf is getting his support from appealing to the ugliest, basest instincts of some of us.
I believe that he is a huckster, so far successfully, selling the people of our country a big fat bill of goods.
I would be ashamed to help that man get into office of any kind. Having said all that, I have not seen where
arguing politics online changes anybody's mind. Now I'm out of here.

I think a lot of people are really mad and feel disenfranchised. They look at Trump not as a polished, practical politician, but as someone the career politicians fear. They would rather have some crotchety old man in office, saying what he thinks, EVEN IF they disagree with it, than the current pool of politicos who tell you what they think you want to hear, while selling you down the river behind your back.

I truly believe that anyone with the talent to be a good President would never willingly subject themselves to the pain. The only people who want to be President have some personality flaw :)
 
Because the States have, since the beginning of the formation of the country, thought of themselves as separate entities and only linked to the Fed out of necessity. That's why we had a civil war.
 
Goodness me. How does one guy rule over all that separate entities..... with great difficulty I presume :p

....and maybe they are ashamed to admit it out loud. I'm voting for Bernie if given the chance again.
