Do bonsai trees getting this expensive lately?

After calculating the expenses to keep my trees happy I found I should have spend more on the trees themselves. These prices are a bit high though but getting the right juniper is going to cost me. Birthday incoming so…

these sorts of prices are pretty usual for their bonsai/ pre-bonsai.

We must be visiting different websites. On this page I see dozens of options in the $25-$35 range for prebonsai.

You will still have to spend to keep these tree happy as well. I don't see how you can get away with that... all trees whether crappy or masterpiece will need similar care. In fact masterpiece will need more $$$ to stay happy.

No not Wigert. Everything else also seems excessive but I was just curious if these trees can be sold at the price then how can one can't make a profit in bonsai business.

Maybe they arn't selling as fast as they would like to.
