This plant has teeth on the edge of the leaves, does privet also have those? I thought it maybe was a Viburnum (prunifolium).

Now with a clear photo ,definitely not privet. And viburnum should be deciduous at your place?
Nevertheless, whatever it is, it grows in so taperless habit that I don't think it's worth the effort of collecting.

I finally got to see the pic! And still... Have no clue! Almost Looks like a shrub we call "Red Tip".. Nothing I would dig up for Bonsai, that is for sure.

Repotting season for a specific species is one of the best times to collect that species from the wild too. And, as you may be aware, there are several windows of opportunity to repot each year, the same time periods will work for collecting from the wild.
Because of practical reasons, often collecting is done at less than ideal times, especially if you are trying to stay ahead of earth moving equipment, or for some other reason. There are many threads on collecting, use the search function and read up.

I have no idea what species you are looking at. The photo doesn't help. I'd guess privet or buckthorn (Rhamnus), that clump does not scream "Bonsai" to me. You sure you want to collect it? It may have been tossed there for a reason, and if it is the wildly invasive Buckthorn, in the USA you committed a crime by planting it.

It may have been identified as a "photinia" (Red Robin). It was sick and was badly pruned, i guess it was too much work for the previous owners. I have a place where i can plant it in the ground (private garden), i will just plant it there perhaps it will become something in a few years.

I saw a wasp (actually was attacked),2 bees and a ton of lady bugs yesterday.
The weather is warming and they are all coming out again.
