Decided to do some jin work to my Yew today

I've had a Yew laying around that I've been meaning to get to and I finally made some time today. I left the branches longer to jin. I still might reduce the left branch a little more and bend it downwards. I want to give it the feel of a heavy branch that pulled itself downward and eventually died and snapped off.

I also added a little more soil after that (not pictured) because the damn squirrels keep digging into this tree in particular and I have no clue why! I'm thinking about covering it in chicken wire.

(Don't worry. The tree is kept outside)

It's funny because this tree was literally garbage to the nursery and I have a deal with them to take their trees from the recovery mat. $20 for smaller and $25 for larger.
Can you believe this tree was almost trashed and I only paid $25 for it?!

I love it because they all know me as "The Bonsai Guy" there and they are always curious to see what tree I'm working on.
It's a great relationship.

I'm in SE Pennsylvania. I actually tried to add my location a while back and it wasn't working for some reason so I forgot to try again lol. I'll add it now.
