Crepe myrtle nabari

Just had to take a picture of this giant crepe myrtle today.

There's a nice one in front of my workplace where the nebari has filled the whole sidewalk square. Also notice the cool twisted trunk.

I currently have six 1-year old seedlings from seeds I got from this tree.

I'll have to get better pics. This is from google street view.

Great photos of what happens naturally as trees grow and age. Many people do not understand why we are exposing roots on bonsai. They seem to think that's just something that makes a tree 'bonsai' rather than something that's natural for old trees.
