I dug the one on left out of grown in spring and cut the peace on right off of it. The single I cut off is in sand, and the double is in bonsai soil. I know these like sun, should I be giving them some or keep them in the shade for now?

The cutting is looking better than the mother plant. I've kept mine in the shade for awhile after repotting. Have you seen any new buds forming this spring? Mother plant looks a bit dry?

Been watering mother every day. Maybe I should put it in sand. Been about 2.5 to 3 weeks in pots. Both staying in shade. The reason I dug it up was where it was Planted
years ago, is now all shade.

I wouldn't repot it again. Keep it in the shade, keep it wet but not drowning. If you think that repotting is the only thing that might save it, i understand. But i have heard it takes awhile for root rot from overwatering. Do you have pics of the roots before you potted?
