Unfortunately this tree didn’t react so well during repotting in spring of 2021 I was a bit too hasty and cut off way too many roots.
It dropped every single branch not long after. I left it on the bench in the hope that something would sprout but nothing seemed to show.
It was only in late summer 2021 when I thought it was a complete goner and decided to check on the roots only to find fresh new root growth.
Now the tree is back to full strength, roots fully grown into the basket and out into another layer of soil also. All the growth has come from just over one growing season. I’ve left it growing freely all year only trimming the suckers a few days ago and this is the trees current image. With a new rough idea of its future also.
