cork bark jbp update

Some of you may have read my earlier thread on my sick cork bark jbp. I have removed all the browned dead needles....but I was afraid of removing tose needles that are half brown half green (see attached photo)..I thought that since the new needles are still developing...the half/half needles may still be able to produce food for the roots to support the new growth....

I can see that some of these half and half are slowly dying one by one where the new needles are hardening up....can I remove these half and half needles or leave them? Reason I am asking is that I see some of them have sign of needle cast...and don't want it to be spread to the new growth.

The new needles, do they come out easily if you were to pull lightly on one, or does the needle hang on? If they pull easily, they're not hardened off yet.

Those needles that are mostly brown, you can go ahead and remove.

I would spray with daconil.

There's a systemic, Cleary's 3036, that helps, too.

Help......I mixed the solution as per instruction on the bottle...when I was going to get a spray bottle....my in-law thought she's helping me...poured the mixed solution directly down the soil....where the instruction said spray on the tree......what to do now?.....tree is lost? Or just wait and see?
