Some of you may have read my earlier thread on my sick cork bark jbp. I have removed all the browned dead needles....but I was afraid of removing tose needles that are half brown half green (see attached photo)..I thought that since the new needles are still developing...the half/half needles may still be able to produce food for the roots to support the new growth....
I can see that some of these half and half are slowly dying one by one where the new needles are hardening up....can I remove these half and half needles or leave them? Reason I am asking is that I see some of them have sign of needle cast...and don't want it to be spread to the new growth.
