I had a coprosma “evening glow” that I treated like a box wood. Had a great trunk and nebari, and It was able to be wired and seemed like it would take bonsai techniques well.
It lasted about two years with minor, minor work all while going downhill slowly. I dont think it liked all the fog we get and it eventually died.

The Coprosma died July this year. I have lost many plants this year, so hot this summer. Weird that most died of root rot with water only once a day. I have switched to Napa 8822 & perlite 50-50 mix.
