Have you checked to see if the tree has grown new roots above the graft?

You replied to thread of mine last year when I did this I only started last year and with the help of this fourm you attached pictures of how to layer and this is what you said (Don’t bother with new containers until next spring. Just keep it growing and keep it healthy until then. You can slip-pot it slightly deeper in the spring if your plan is to ground-layer it above the graft union, and then you can do the ground layer in May. It will look like this. Do some reading on the subject first, there's plenty already spring. Just keep it growing and keep it healthy until then. Wish I would’ve took your advice someone also said you can wrap wire around The wire work, Some Not great roots but I guess in May I’ll do a correct ground layer Here are some of the pictures of the root0425B0EB-58FF-49E9-B32E-E41C8F80A816.jpeg618278CA-E828-4DD1-883E-D4AE98B98BB9.jpeg1C1ADBB7-08B6-4037-9B19-7F6F5CAB7BA3.jpeg0425B0EB-58FF-49E9-B32E-E41C8F80A816.jpeg63937F32-40EF-4A41-B8AF-5BDB5D127A95.jpeg kind of hard to see

Hmm I'm not too optimistic. It looks like the wire competely severed the cambium. If that was your intention, it didn't seem to result in many roots. Hope it works out!

That clearly didn’t do what you needed it to do. I would try an actual air-layer higher up, around here:

As of right now tree is pushing buds

Dude. Punctuate.
... a few to get ya started...
?

My apologies. Went Through school with a learning disability sorry.
And here you are, now punctuating. That is good, and will make it easier for people to understand and help you. No apology needed at all. Good luck on that air layer; I like my Chishio quite a bit, but it’s not as vigorous as the species.
