I brought home this tree yesterday from south Louisiana. A man that has had a really hard fight with cancer is slimming his collection down significantly because he’s just too ill right now to care for the trees. I decided to name the tree after where it was born and raised in Chalmette, Louisiana. Pronounced “shall-may”. I feel a very special connection to this tree. I hope yall enjoy it as well. Please, if you pray, keep this fellow and his family in your prayers.
