Case study of tropical trees in subtropical areas. I know we make one every year, and every year the Texans win with their tropical trees in the snow.

Oh, so there’s a limit at how long a title can be. I’m having a sudden cold snap this weekend, all week I went to college in shorts an a T-shirt, then suddenly temperatures got sliced in half.

P.S. this is zone 10. JBP and kishu Shimpaku night love this weather, olive doesn’t care, ficus and Fukien tea must just hold on. This place does get a bit colder, this one just crept up on us quite unexpectedly

Screw this post, I’m having the hottest winter in 20 years apparently. Some days are hotter than my hometown back in South Africa, and it’s summer there. There’s always some crazy cold front approaching, but every day is T-shirt weather

Same here. All trees are still in leaf and ficus are still pushing new growth. Crazy

Oooohh temperatures are plummeting this week, I’m wearing a light sweater today.

I went ice fishing today 16F/ -8C, this is a warmer day on the ice.

Yep, I'm having the same issue here! Pretty warm right now at -18C. :p

Nah, they are all sleeping now. They were busting buds last week - silly little trees got frozen mid-party.
