Purchased two of these guys as seedlings.....at the MABA convention in DesMoines IA back in '93. More work ahead...possibly reducing it by topping and regrowing into a compacted version.. IMG_7710_edited.jpg

Beautiful all the way around! Tree and pot, and you did both. Congrats.

Thank you all. I really have to say, I had three seedlings the third is with Dr. Mayank Vora who purchased 'her' from me back about 6yrs ago.
Good news is that I've got seeds and a seedling started from the seeds of the tree shown.
I am make a few new pots for this girl and her sis.....

I started another air layer about 2 weeks ago and shot this photo early yesterday morning.. she’s leafing out nicely and have two little sprouted seedlings(on the bench not shown) already!
Her sister tree is doing the same and I’ll se if she’s amenable to a photo LOL
The pot is of my make 1980

Thanks Shohun610,
The airlayer is approximately 13 cm from the top. Look carefully and you’ll see the round bulbous “bag”117C16C6-F2D8-4A0F-A114-5828B30557FA.jpeg

How long did it take for the air layer to grow enough roots to separate it? I have one in the ground that I need to layer this year so was wondering how quickly they respond.

Doing a little thinning and wiring while the buds have been swelling…

Did some thinking on a slant style for the smaller upright of the two and here's where its' going. Shown in the last image I'll pull it more to the right in the next 're-potting" in a few years allowing the roots to settle in .IMG_7584.JPGIMG_7583_edited.jpgIMG_7587.JPGIMG_7596_edited copy.jpg
