Hello everyone, I have heard that you can use organic fertiliser after repotting despite being told not to fertilise after re-potting. Which is the correct thing to do?

My potting mix has fertiliser incorporated so all my repotted trees get fertiliser from day 1 after repotting. No problems in nearly 40 years.
On the strength of that I have also applied added fert to newly repotted trees. No problem noted.
Never fertilise newly repotted bonsai is another bonsai myth.

Your trees can go a few weeks without extra fertiliser so no not NEED fert right after repotting but that's not the same as MUST wait 2 weeks.

You can fertilize the day after you repot. Won't do any good, but you can do it. There are no roots to take up the fertilizer and the roots that are present have been disturbed and aren't functioning optimally. It's a waste of time until the roots have settled back in and they're growing.
