Brightside Pot raffle

Thinking of raffling some pot. I mean pots! Ceramic containers with holes. For tiny tree’s!

I thought it would be cool and give people a chance to get a pot for a dollar or something. Not looking to do it to make money just more of a fun thing.

What do y’all think?

I’m going to figure out how to make it legit with payment and maybe a YouTube video of the raffle and the pot or pots. Was thinking once there is enough tickets bought I would add another pot in.

Suggestions or ideas are welcome.

Suggestion: make the Europeans pay for their own shipping, this way they can enter too without breaking your bank.

If it's too much for shipping and handling, pick a second place.

That’s a good idea! I would subtract any extra gains after my costs to go towards shipping. Also thought about any extra cash being donated to some bonsai related association or something. It’s all still theoretical. But something I’d like to create.

It’s funny you say 10 ticket limit because I thought the exact same thing when thinking about this. Thanks for checking out my work and I’m glad you like the pots I’m making! I appreciate the kind words, I have worked hard to learn ceramics a lot of trial and error to get stuff right.

I get that. I appreciate the input. I think I’ll start at $1 per ticket.

There may be tiers so if a certain dollar amount is made to pay for another pot it will be put in the raffle so their will be more than one winner.

I don’t want to recieve anymore money personally than I’d make selling the pot in my store.

It’s still a work in progress but I appreciate your feedback and everyone else’s.

Good idea. I play disc golf and their is a Facebook page just for disc raffles.
They usually go something like the following (I'm just making up numbers though).

Offering x product
20 tickets available at $1 each. Limit 5 per person.
Send money to (Provide PayPal info, etc.)
Winner pays shipping from Zip code

Then as comments come in you make a list periodically until all spots are filled, i.e.,

1.Joe
2. Bob
3. Carl
4.
5. Amanda

After filling, the seller will tell what time drawing will run and they will record a short video showing the result of a random number generator including two time stamps - like scanning to your phone screen and back to a computer monitor to show its legit.

I hope you offer up something. I would be happy to pay/play.

There are a couple more things I have to learn doing it online. I don’t have these pots anymore but I am making more!
