I never left. Just retired a name. Waiting for inaugural induction into Bonsainut Hall of Fame. Titles and post count are fine I guess but I never came here for that nor posted my information for that. I post the way I do things and read what other people do. I decided to retire Smoke in an effort to be a more positive person. I pick and choose what I post and read what I want. If we decide to respond it will be courteous and civil. So far there are still some that seem contentious. I don’t understand why. Maybe they lack what it takes, don’t have any money to do the hobby correctly or just plain want to wag the dog. I don’t know. I would rather someone just say thank you.

“ SMOKE” retired not Al. That guy, Al, is still very much working his trees.

Thank you Al !!!!!!!!
You do realise that you have a very distinctive style- Master.

And - Bananaman - sounds 1940's, along with rum and coca-cola :)
Very Tropical.

Place feels less frightening already.
Good Day

Sorry, Bananaman is what my girlfriend calls me. Self explanatory.

Is the truth that frightening. I don’t understand that. If I tell someone that they need to prune shorter and I show you trees that look pretty good that have been worked that way, why is the frightening. Is it frightening because you are new and feel cutting back could kill it. Hell kill it and learn. I hope everyone here understands that passing information around can be considered a good thing. I agree with that. But sometimes there are those that are pioneers and are doing things that is not mainstream. I try to wait till I see the fruits of my success befor I post about it. There are those that try something really crazy and I feel bad for them cause they get razed by the forum. I might think they have lost their mind also but I just read and do not comment. Of course then I get razed because I don’t comment or like it or give you false praise to keep your mood glowing. Do this for you and you alone. Always keep in mind that you will undergo peer pressure of what you post, but have enough cahones to understand that there will be those that make fun of you

One teenager to another looking at a cedar tree at the Michigan All State Show.

"Look, they got the pine cone on that fir tree on upside down."

Crack! "Sh_t, let's examine this opportunity to redesign......"
