I am going to sell some smaller pots that I have collected over the years because I only have bigger conifers and will never have a tree that would be small enough for these pots. Here is the bottom of one showing the signature. She is a well known local potter I think but have forgotten her name. Can someone help me with that please? Thanks

This pot is from Denise Soultanian out in San Jose, CA. I haven’t purchased anything from her yet, but I’ve been following her stuff on Etsy for awhile now. Really top notch looking pots. She had a pot I really regret not buying that was a cool unglazed geometric oval.

And you are so correct. She does make very nice pots and always has. Thank you Apex

Definitely will be keeping an eye out when you do post for sale! I like her style, got any pics of that pot from the front?

Yes and I will post some here today for you. I am going to sell my pots on Facebook bonsai auctions starting today at 5pm

Here are some pictures of Denises' pot. It is small, about 1 1/4" high and 4 5/8" in diameter, outside measurements.

And here is another small pot that has a signature stamp but I have no clue who it belongs to. It is only 2" high and 3.5" square. Maybe someone knows who made this? Very smooth, nice feeling and well made pot.

Thanks for all the previous help. I never got an answer to the small red pot shown above. Maybe someone has the answer to that one?

I also have another one that has a chop or signature on the bottom. I don't understand Chinese or Japanese so I don't know where this pot was made or who made it. I am guessing Japanese but no clue as to the maker or when it was made. Help appreciated.

August, I’m not sure on those two, but I do like this pot. What’s the dimensions on it?

I don't know. Someone else said it was made on the 4th, not the 2nd.
Nope...I was there when it came out.

BTW, That pot would be lovely for a crabapple or another showy flower or fruit bonsai tree.

That does sound great. I have a flowering cherry that is coming along that would be about right for that. Thanks for the help and especially for being able to date the making.
