Bonsai Mirai Live

Yes, the raffia demo was very good. Also, the idea of using a single piece of wire first along the branch, then transitioning to around the branch was something I hadn't seen described before.

It was the one with the big Utah juniper. "Juniper structure" Dec 20. I thought it was a couple weeks old but I guess I watched it two weeks ago :)

Thanks Bnut. I put that on my watch before bed list tonight.

I would definitely recommend that everyone who can subscribe. As far as I'm concerned it is the biggest bang for your bonsai educational dollar. I've only had time to watch a few videos but feel I've already gotten my monies worth. I've been doing bonsai a long time and have owned a bonsai nursery for 20 years and I've learned new things on each video I've watched. It definitely get two thumbs up from me.

These are some of the best reviews. Locally I'm surrounded by a lot of long time Veterans, & all of them tip their hat to this platform. To see people 50 yrs + actively on line pursuing Bonsai is amazing in many ways.

Mirai website says there is a live stream today on Shohin. Will non members be able to tune in or is it only available if you sign up?

I think sign ups

I signed up for Tier 3 at the monthly rate. I watched everything I wanted to watch in that month. Then canceled. In six months, I'll sign up again. Probably Tier 2. I never once got an email about the live Q&A, so I never saw one. I know this isn't the intention, but it works with my budget. Everything said here is true, the production can't be beat and this 52 year old learned far more than expected.

Their goal is to bill annually.

Paying annually or on a contract of some kind is too much for me, I understand there needs to be a way to keep things steady from a financial point of view. I'd feel fine paying tier 2 for 3-4 months since I have a lot of time right now and can digest a lot of information quickly. Mirai videos are awesome so with pausing and watching over I know it would be worth at least that amount of time. I'd love to afford it and would if I could! I was under the impression that the streams could be watched live for free or that at least some streams were free. I'm still happy Ryan is willing to share his knowledge with us like this. I would love to improve my understanding of junipers with the same kind of focus he presented with his videos on the development and growth habits of pine.

Some streams are free. Not all of them, but just a few to give people a sample of what they are like.

Don't you realise, every time you pause the video, Ryan literally stands still, unblinking, mid sentence, until you resume again.. please stop pressing pause!! He has to eat and go toilet at some point!

And now the serious part of my post:
I'd like some negative point of views on this please.. I'm not one for overwhelming positive feedback on everything. It's good and all but I feel like it's too one sided. Gotta be some differences, drawbacks, stuff that could be done better..

I do think signing up for a year is way too much of a commitment. But from what LittleJoe919 said, sounds like you can cancel mid way and not pay it all any way.

I find a lot of his work mainly based around conifers, juniper, pines the like. ive not really seen much deciduous content from him apart from the segment on mirai live when he discussed a larch and Linden. however, ive recently seen him doing some work on a Beech forest. i think if youre really into conifers, juniper and pine then you should probably sign up, i could be wrong. i'd love to see more of his work with deciduous trees though.
