Spring is the best season!Very nice.
Azaleas are one of the best things about bonsai in spring
Fall colors are pretty good too but yea, spring colors (flowers, new leaves are pretty awesome).Spring is the best season!
Your azalea is beautiful. Also, I have recently got a new azalea and was wondering how you get such beautiful blooms. Is there a specific fertiliser you use? My azalea is currently in 100% kanuma. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Wow, it looks stunning! If you do not mind, could you specify the exact name of the fertiliser you use, or perhaps a link?Sorry for the late reply—I’ve been busy and haven’t logged into this site in a while.
I’m also growing mine in 100% kanuma and using Osmocote as fertilizer.
Until it reaches the size and shape you’re aiming for, it’s best to grow it in a large pot to promote strong root development and overall vigor.
The photo below shows the tree as it looks today.
Compared to other azaleas, the flowers seem smaller and bloom more densely.
Unless it was propagated from the same tree through cuttings, even azaleas of the same species seem to have their own unique genetic characteristics.
