Big trees that make you say, "It's like a giant bonsai"

My front yard Japanese maple. I’m seriously considering pruning this to make it look even more “bonsai” if my wife allows it. The tree had a lower branch until a couple years ago when, following a big snowfall, our mail lady drove her mail truck into it on her way to sliding through our lawn.

Here’s a flaky-barked tea-tree i stumbled across a few weeks back that i thought was interesting.
