Big trees that make you say, "It's like a giant bonsai"

Black Willow trees living in/on NY freshwater ponds. Looks like they grow aerial roots to aid with stability; my best guess. Pretty amazing how the fallen trees even grow new roots right out of the upper trunk and thick branches.

My guess is water level was higher at one point, and they ground layered themselves.
 
Not as impressive as most of the trees in this thread, but a very attractive soapberry a couple blocks from the closed elementary school my son attended so many years ago. He called it the "cloud" tree because the natural pads looked like fluffy summer clouds. Certain years, it looks like intense sunset clouds in autumn.

Isn't it wonderful to see/hear how natural and open children see (and enjoy) their environment? :)
Doing Bonsai often reminds me on that to appreciate the little things and there is beauty in everything.
