Beware the Norseman with his wooden longship with the Dragon prow to protect him from the monsters of the deep as he sails through the foggy waters..
The rustic unglazed stoneware pot has an attached hand-carved dragon head. The pot resembles a wooden ship with old time rivet fasteners. Large and heavy, just how I like them!
I visualize this pot planted with an ancient collected tree such as an arborvitae with gnarly and spiky deadwood and the dragon head prow peeking up through the foliage and deadwood!

Lol...that made me go back and read the post!
You know it's pretty Damn cool if people skip the words heh!

I'd like to see a Larch go gold in it.

But I like this too!

It definitely would have to be "Crusted", for lack of a better term.
Or the pot would be wasted!

A gnarly old larch would be great. As I suggested with the arborvitae it needs a lot of deadwood and the dragon head peaking up through.

I'm beginning to remember why I left this group for a few years!

Well welcome back!

This group....and Smoke......has got me remembering you for grinding bits....
And pots!

In short.....you still have mad respect here!

Love Mr. C!

Run...run as fast and as far as you can! It's too late for many of us, but you can still save yourself!

One of the cooler, more original pots I've seen. Look great with a small redwood forest, maybe with the 'head' emerging from some dense low growth.

I have a local yew clump that would look super cool in it with the white deadwood leaning away from the dragon's head....to redish purple bark of the main trunks.....hhhhhmmm priceless ;) or is it the colour in the photo playing tricks with my perception on the pot's hues?
Taxus brevifolia (Pacific yew or western yew) - named by West Wind Hardwood Inc,., as the THE COGNAC OF WOOD or Grand Marnier if you prefer.
