I found this pot at an antique show last year. Snagged it at a very reasonable price. I knew it was older Japanese and figure it is from the Meiji period. But that is about all I know. I did see a similar one on EBay that had to be by the same kiln and probably artists too—the shape and painting style were identical. The seller ID-ed as Meiji.
It is about 9.5” tall and 8”across.
I bought it because I liked it and didn’t have a specific tree for it (yet). Any ideas of the right tree? Obviously a flowering tree would be ideal. Thoughts? Until the right tree comes along, something to enjoy for what it is.
