Michigan Tree Murderer
Masterpiece
I too gazed upon the legendary shorts of folklore, and spoke with the knowledgeable wearer of said knickers. He's a really nice guy.
I know a guy who voted for that one. I also bought 27 raffle tickets for $20 bucks and stuffed them all in #5 to win a wooden slab stand that worth $100.It is a great tree! I voted for the awesome Japanese Black Pine that was just to the left of this one. My wife voted for this one...
Did Bruce Baker pass away?I think it's okay to show this tree now that the show has started. It was pretty good sized show, and AABS did a nice job.
Japanese Yew trained for 37 years. It's in memory of, that's why there's a picture of the guys name a forget. Maybe Dave knows. Edit: Bruce Baker.

Yes. This past January if I'm remembering right. 68 years old, sorry for you as it sounds like you knew him.Did Bruce Baker pass away?
"Bruce Baker, 68, died at his home in Beulah, MI, on January 9, 2024. Bruce first saw bonsai at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, in 1977.Did Bruce Baker pass away?
I saw that and thought of Cajun Rider...Thanks for letting me know. I did not know him, but Matt Spiniken did and I know he has had a big impact on bonsai in Michigan. He was also the designer of the root slayer shovel if anyone didn’t know. So if you use and like the root slayer, you have Bruce Baker to thank. RIP
