An Odd One - Progress Thread

Thought I'd share an unusual, semi-recent addition to my collection. Below is a "cutleaf" sort of a US native buckthorn *almost* as purchased.

Repotted on March, 7 2021. Fairly large root reduction:

Grew well through summer:

After leaf drop. Love those colorful buds!

Wired up later that day (early fall, October judging by the baldie beside it):

Days ago, thawing before its repot. Seems early, but apical buds were already starting to extend:

Repotted!

Rhamnus frangula I believe - exact cultivar, I'm not sure.

Not an easy cultivar to find, but not terribly hard either. Saw it in a few garden centers as long as 30 plus years ago and saw it at Lowes a couple years back.
