Advice on root bound Amur

Hello All.

I acquired a nice Amur from a gentleman who passed. It is pretty root bound, still drains and no black roots. Should I slip pot it gently till I can work the roots next year or do you think I can get away with leaving it till next year when I can do a proper re pot.

If the soil still drains well, I’d leave it alone until next spring when I’d plan bare rooting it and swapping out the soil completely.

As Dav4 suggested, don't fix anything when it's not broken.
Next spring will be a way better and safer chance to do so.
