i treat maples the same way i treat hornbeams....
this one was actually moved on to a happy home a couple weeks ago. i set it on a good path
these are the last images i have, as we can see, the tree was thriving right before it was sold and some of the nursery soil remains even in the blue pot. we can do root jobs like this in stages.. the tree will reward you with vigorous growth. back budding all over the trunk.
how much did i get through here...chopping, repotting, rootpad reduction, chops, sealed cuts. no problem and the cuts are already callusing too.
oh wait, we wired in the basic structure as well! and tapered cuts on the main trunk..
