My sister has a row of ancient ones in front of her house.
One is killer but she won't let me dig them up.

Good luck with this jimdavis.
I've had very poor results collecting big yews like that. Look for dense-white-zig-zagging feeder roots. If you didn't get any of them, my guess is it wont survive.
Hope I'm wrong, this is just my experience.
The pot-up looks like a 3 ibuprofen, 4 beer recovery too.
