A few larches from my larch row. Most are pretty hairy this year because I did wholesale repotting but still nice. These were collected from swamps and grown along time--except for the middle one (with the long gangily lower branch) which is one of my few rare lake-shore collected larch. In contrast I potted 25 larch seedling today for developing and for fun.

I always love the crust bonus I get with your posts.

I'm smitten with the one on the left. and of course the mythical creatures that wander in your forests and around your pots.

Its really better than the photo. For some reason the base looks funny but it really is just fine. The "Bush headed slug" is Lenzian but the brown lurking monster is from my hand. This year is the first real year I have Lenzian larches in my collection. Most of them are in the developing stages to some degree. Here is a few interesting pieces.

Now THAT is what I call spinal tap! So are these clay pieces you craft? I like them.
(and I like the base on that #3 tree, it doesn't look odd to me at all, just interesting.)

"So are these clay pieces you craft?"----I miraculously have a small electric kiln and a wheel but am fairly inept and ignorant on how to throw and deal with stoneware in general. I do like making little monsters but its really quite hard to shape, fire, glaze a nice bonsai pot. Now that I am back home perhaps this winter I will get some good stone ware clay and try again.
