A bit like Bonsai?

Has anyone else tried this?

I’ll likely try it eventually when I own land, though I’d prefer to use multiple trees for more points of contact with the ground. I‘ll also probably choose a species with thick bark. I’d imagine frequent, repeated use would eventually injure thinner bark.

Osage Orange is used often for "living fences".. I'd imagine they would behave well for this sort of project, as well.

Osage orange have some vicious spikes. I guess they could be removed from contact areas but knowing how new shoots grow that could make it a bit uncomfortable to use, not to mention all the blood lost through the grow and train years.
