A “Hot Lips” Huang azalea hybrid Hu 4-2-85

I love this late blooming Huang hybrid azalea Hu 4-2-85. The flowers are small with light pink center and hot lips.

With the stamen count, this seems to be a Japanese-species based Huang. It also has mild chlorosis.

I have not. Just dug it out from the flower bed a few weeks ago. Going to take some of the azaleas when we move. I want to propagate it.

Possibly but we will not know since the hybridizing records were gone.
