Just like ysrgrathe said, this light is SUPER quiet and it barely gets hot. I'm currently using it with my Feit Electric Grow Light, that I'm now thinking of returning.
I found a similar lamp to the Sun Blaze on eBay for $59.99, I might have to order it because I'm thinking of building a shelving unit on top of my small bookshelf so that I can have 2 (or 3) tiers of trees (and orchids) in the same area. I want to be able to get more tropicals for my collection, especially since I'm putting all of the outdoor trees away now.
