2013 Annual Society of Florida Bonsai Convention

I too will be attending this event. Sounds like it should be a great weekend.

I will make sure to visit every booth several dozen times. :)

I hope to meet some new bonsai friends and see some great demos.

FWIW, Paul has some high quality pots at very decent prices...

My list of things I still have to do, seems to be growing and growing.

Unfortunately I can't make the trip. Hopefully next year :(
 
My list of things to do is probably smaller than yours -

confirm childcare is handled, so that I'm free - check.

confirm that dad is coming - check

choose tree(s) for byot workshop with Suthin. check (i think)

save some cash for the vending area - check

The new location is only about 20 minutes from my house, so I'll probably be there all three days. Looking forward to see you all there.

I think the workshops are gonna be good, Sad thing about vending, is
you don't get to participate in them though... I did manage to convince the
wife to watch the shop for 4 hrs on Sat. so that I can take one of the scroll
making classes... Mainly because it will benefit me with what I do...

yeah - The scroll workshop is different. Definitely seems like something I'd think you'd like. Not for me at this point, but glad it's being offered.

What a whirlwind that was...
I had a wonderful time at this years convention.
Met a lot of really cool people, sold a lot of stuff...
and did fairly well as a vendor, even though I
think the turn out was kinda so-so.
Hope everyone else did good as well, and it was
nice talking to you all !!!

I brought along my golden dewdrop, to give me
something to do while I was there, for it needs the
wire removed from the tree... next thing I know
Louise is grabbing it off my table at 11:00 at
night on Thursday, while I was still setting up my
booth, saying she needed it for the exhibit.
I asked her could I at least remove the water spots
off the pot ??? So, in it went with yellowing leaves,
no stand, no accent plant... and some how I still
managed to win an award !!! Go figure ??? :):):)
Granted it was the president's award... but still
pretty cool !!!

Here's a link to this years trees, all of which were
pretty nice !!! Including mine, which humbly sat
just on the table with no display card telling folks
what it was...

May be i will go because i am too much busy that's why my chance to go in the exhibition is less i was waiting at the exhibition but my problem is too much hard..If any one send me the video link of the exhibition?Thanks
