Crape myrtle at my work has crazy nebari. This one is also blooming early. I have no idea where it gets water from.

I think this is a Scots Pine, in the Morton Preserve on Long Island, NY. It’s taller than any of the surrounding trees, even while growing at that crazy angle! Pretty cool looking

My guess is water level was higher at one point, and they ground layered themselves.

I drive by this white oak everyday on my way to work. In the winter you can see the detail of where the top snapped out and the wounds are rolling over. I wish some one would kill out all that Virginia creeper…

Cryptomeria Japonica (Japanese cedar) at Kasuga-taisha in Nara, Japan. Estimated to be over 1000 years old, it was painted in 1309 on the Kasuga Gongen Genki scrolls. One of the most impressive trees I saw on holiday in Japan!
