    Prepped and mossed trees for our Sacramento Bonsai Club show this Saturday. Showing this Interior Live Oak for the first time that I collected over 35 years ago.

    I've repotted olives in mid summer and it can be over 100 F here. They never miss a beat.

    Your East Coast trees look more like Segei than Seguin. Seigen from Ed Clark... Segei (Bonfire)...

    cheap but but large training pots

    Wood boxes are the way to go. Cheap to build with redwood or cedar fence boards. good drainage between bottom slats. Stay much cooler in summer than ceramic pots. Easy to place guy wires with screws in the wood.

    Kiyohime maple

    I love my Kiyohimes. They are almost automatic bonsai with short internodes and small leaves. I've got a couple I developed from pre bonsai from Ed Clark.

    Built two gigantic Dawn Redwood forests for Dylan at Cedar Rose Nursery. Primary trees are over 6 feet tall!

    Last Saturday my friend Larry, known here as Mike Corazzi (forum name chosen because he was a "fun guy") passed away after an illness. Shortly before he went into hospice he asked me to find homes fore his bonsai collection. Some of those trees and pots will be showing up on Facebook auctions...
