Meeting Nuts in person...

When are we going to start a bnut monthly potluck? Rotate houses so we can see different things each time? Bring a tree, bring something to pass, bring some good stories? @sorce @Carol 83 and all the other IL-chicago ish locals
Sounds like a good time, however that would be close to 5 hours each way for me. I'm a half hour or so from St.Louis, so not chicago ish. :(

I'd be game for something like this. I have dropped in on a fair number of BNuts, and have meet a fair number at bonsai shows and club meetings. Been to @sorce 's hacienda a number of times. Generous is not a big enough word for him.

Anyway, if one of you greater Chicago BNuts has a back yard where we could set up a few lawn chairs, that is about all we need for a meeting space. I'd be in.

I've met @Carol 83 when I was at a bonsai show in Collinsville, IL. There's a convention center in Collinsville that the Saint Louis society used for the MABA convention a couple years ago,

Speaking of MABA - Mid-America Bonsai Association - the

Milwaukee Bonsai Society is hosting a 50th Anniversary Celebration, and MABA here's the poop:

When: June 22 - 26, 2022
Where: Four Points Milwaukee North Shore, 8900 North Kildeer Court, Milwaukee, WI, 53209

It's less than a month away, please put the date on your calendars. Everyone from Chicago should drop in for at least a day. Guest Artists are Francois Jeker and Ted Matson.

The 22 thru 26 June 2022 Show and Convention is a great opportunity to meet BNutts in person. Since Milwaukee is my home society, I will be helping out, so I should be there every day, especially the Saturday and Sunday. Do plan on coming to the show. The venue is about 10 miles north of downtown Milwaukee, easy interstate access. (no tolls north of the Wisconsin border, yeah!!!). From downtown Chicago to downtown Milwaukee is about 90 miles, the trip can be done in less than 2 hours with light traffic.

I'll try to post here from my phone where I am at for those who want to meet. I'll post in this thread or / and the thread I started in "Events".

I was talking to @whateverheswitchedhisnameto lol, about how my regular baseball schedule that screws up hosting is kinda over....so I'm bout to open up .... probably any or every Saturday or Sunday.

Boy got scouted by Morton College to play local, super psyched, between pitching no hitters and graduating with honors, hoping he could get a reasonable education and keep swinging that lumber for some time!

Anyway, feel free to hit me, anyone, anytime.

I really enjoy the company!

Plus my license been invalid since 2019!🤣
