My non traditional bonsai

Three years old now. He's turned into one of the best dogs ever.
His one leg though. He feels the need to injure it somehow once a year. This year he cut it,I don't know how but he bled profusely. 2 inch cut. Real deep. Poor guy!
Had a strange stranger walk into the yard last week. If I hadn't been out there it may have been a bad deal. I don't want to lose my dog because he did his job and made the dumbass his bitch.
The guy stood on the road talking, everything was fine. Rupert was just sitting by me eyeing him up,no growling,no barking, just keeping an eye on him. Then. Then the dummy stepped over Ruperts line without permission. It's a good thing I grabbed him when I did! Then Gump finally asked if he can come in the yard. Too fucking late!
I said it might be best if he left. He says " boy he's protective isn't he? What does anybody want a dog like that for?"
I told him the dog is doing what he's supposed to do. Keep undesirable people like you out of the yard.
Rupert knew there was something not right with the guy. Pajama pants and a hoodie on in the afternoon.
These dogs know. If you aren't right, are shady or have bad intentions GSDs will know. I believe they can read minds. Truly.
He knows if I'm thinking about getting his rope or going out for frisbee, training or a walk.
In case you haven't surmised I love this dog. My wife dreads the day he leaves us. She already has a fund going to buy me another right away when this guys time comes. Tearing up while I type thinking about it. He's my boy. He and I knew that when I went to pick a puppy. 30 seconds with him at 3 weeks old and he and I knew. It was love at first sight. Like he was waiting to be born to be with me.20180102_200334.jpg When I went to pick him up the lady couldn't remember which puppy I picked. He did. At 5 weeks he remembered me and came over to me. He was waiting for me.

Hes as old as our dog also three now!
And also protective i remember walking the dog with the buggy when the youngest son was recently born someone wanted to have a look inside the buggy were the new born was sleeping but the dog (bowdy) started growling like hey that kids a sleep go away!
Dogs are great

Very cute. Do they actually make good pets? Or are they more cat-like?
When there's just one, trained and tamed from the start, they're pretty dog like. We can call him, we can cuddle with him. But we thought he might be lonely so we let him pick a girlfriend at a meet-and-greet shelter. Now they're both cat-like in behavior. They come and get their scratches and come say hi when you're in, but no more cuddling unfortunately.
Both bunnies are potty trained so they can roam the house.
But cables.. So many cables have been lost. Everything in their reach will be chewed to bits. Plants too, as is cardboard, my girlfriends couch, and basically everything with a texture softer than hardwood.
