In case you haven't heard--Cold returning

Another half inch of snow this morning, it's melted now but tomorrow will probably stay in the 20s. Yet another push of cold air during the upcoming week will keep our temps well below normal through Wednesday (probably no impact for you southerners), then it looks like the tide turns. If I can only hold out a few more days...so much to do and it's going to all have to be done at once.

Just finished moving trees back into protected garage after a couple of days of sunshine and seasonable temps. Looking at low 20's this weekend. Maples have begun to leaf out weeks ago and cheeries are all in blossom since Easter weekend. Hope this is the last "dance" for this spring.

Plucked all the dead flowers off my yard azalea today...hundreds of blooms, wasted.... sad to see. I decided to not take pictures, as to not ruin anyone else's day...
:(

My flowering peach and lilac have survived so far but 26-34-23 forecast this weekend. No peaches this year I bet. All my potted stuff is in as of yesterday. PIA

It's really a bad and unusual weather for this season you have now. Too much work with trees shuffling... I'm with you and hope it'll be fine soon.83b9819ff4451651ed39bb6755192c86e1505f1b.jpg

It's supposed to freeze tonight in the deep south (S.C.). Guess at least the newly potted trees will have to go in the shed.

Will the shed be warm enough to keep the roots from freezing?
It should be. Temperatures will hover at freezing at most. "Cold" for us isn't usually like cold for you guys in the northeast. Of course, those of us who live here believe temperatures in the 30s are unbearably cold.

My trees are all covered too. With snow! Next weekend it's supposed to reach the 50's maybe!

It's been crazy and terrible here as well! Temps dipping way too low at night and all my trees except a few are all in full leaf. It has been absolutely exhausting bringing trees in and out and sometimes I've had to leave them in for a few days. Tomorrow I must put everything out to get some much needed light. Looks like now I may be able to finally leave them out for at least several days in a row. Hopefully that will be it???

I'm just keeping mine in my garage till this crap is over....
Done with the shuffle...
I do have 3 still outside, toughing it out...
Two rounds of snow yesterday, plus freezing rain and high wind gusts....
What a way to start the year

It snowed and turned to slush all day yesterday soon after the Ducks visited in the morning. 28F this morning but looks we are heading into warmer days and nights now. Yesterday the slop stopped around 5ish and everything looked pretty sad, literally smushed down by the wet weight. I noticed however there was no wind and the vehicles seemed to be defrosting. I took a dust brush and broom to everything and gently knocked off all of the snow. On larger items I just grabbed the trunk and shook it off. This morning almost all is gone and everything looks ok - no leaf burn or obvious damage... Here is hoping everyone else is doing "OK" and as good as possible - Strange Spring but at least here it looks like we are headed into more stable temperatures.

I thought that was a hobo mobile at first.
Then I laughed because in your picture there is green grass and bushes all over the place and you have a blanket shelter set up.
I have to see what's in there!!:p

Here you go! They were packed in like sardines.
