Anyone ever have trouble with Kusa Farm? I have heard/read they are reliable folks.

I ordered 2 azalea from them mid April. They acknowledged the order and I believe they charged the card. I have not seen any info about shipping etc, nor have the azaleas shown up.

I emailed them 2 weeks ago and Shannon responded that they thought they would ship out Monday of last week. Nothing has come so far and no other updates. I think they are in Illinois? so it shouldn't take that long for something to be shipped.

the variety is no longer listed on the website so they might be sold out. I also know it's the busy time for bonsai people so I'm reluctant to reach out again so I'm not seen as a pain but with no further update and no plants, I'm starting to wonder if I got scammed.
 
Shannon is from near Knoxville TN, and from what I have seen he seems like a stand up guy. He has been expanding his set up, and may be behind. I suspect he will be a vendor at Nationals again this year and do not think there is any chance it is a scam. May just have hit an issue with the plant, or had some personal things that have gotten in the way, but I would expect it to get resolved soon.

Shannon is an upstanding guy, they are located in the Knoxville, TN area. I doubt you've been scammed. They've had multiple workshops in the last couple weeks going on down there if I remember correctly, several of my friends went down 2 weeks ago I know. I would just reach back out to him again and see what's up.
 
I can only say that he wouldn’t scam. He has to good a reputation in the community. I enjoyed vending next to him in March and is a nice guy. He does a lot and is expanding so it’s possible that he is behind. Although rare, a message slips through the cracks with my ceramic inquiries. A second email or message is always good and I am thankful when my customers reach out again. If a business owner finds that annoying. To me that is disrespectful to their customers.
 
Thanks guys. I really didn't/don't want to think badly about them becasue at face value, they dont look that way. I was reluctant to post, because I don't want to call bad attention to an upstanding vendor, but just didn't know what else to do. If they sold out/no longer available or they are waiting for more starts to grow up a little, I would have appreciated that knowledge.

I made a few orders last year and Shannon was kind enough to not just respond to my emails regarding tips of Chojubai, but also got on the phone with me explaining the soil mix he uses.
 
Just there at his open house on April 26th, when he had Tyler Sherrod as guest artist. He's got a lot going on this spring. I'd try communicating again. Unless things have changed recently, bonsai isn't his only business.

I've ordered from Shannon I think twice now. The second order there was a bit of a delay like you mentioned, so after two weeks I shot him an email and he actually gave me a phone call letting me know what was going on and that my order would be shipped in the next day or two.
 
Seems like he did send it but it never got here and got returned. I'll contact him to find out how he sent it. Sometimes my post office staff gets pissy and returns stuff if it's not addressed absolutely correctly
 
I checked my email and he had emailed me that the package was returned.
Again my post office just being nasty if things are absolutely correct on the address label and cant be bothered to check vs the street address.

He sent it USPS and I probably didnt give him my P.O. box thinking he might have sent it UPS, although it should have been on the billing address.
Ive had this problem before and I sometimes have to guess how someone will ship and I got this one wrong apparently.
I responded back to him and it seems to be sorted now I think.
