Freeze warnings next few nights

Everything I'm seeing suggests that this is the last of it after Thursday in SE Michigan. It's going to hit that 60* day / 40* night sweet spot and go up from there.😁😁😁
Planning on powerwashing the deck next weekend and moving the kids outside!

I set the heater in my shed to kick in at 40°F. That keeps it above freezing. The door is a bit drafty

Just watched weather they changed it. For tonight it's now going to be around 38° and rain. But Monday night 30° and Tuesday night 26° and Wednesday night 36°. But who knows they'll change it again probably.

We have a forecast for frost tomorrow and Tuesday as well. My lilac is leafing out in the garage but it should stay above freezing in there. My crapes are still sleeping, so they'll be fine. @JudyB , your azalea is inside under the lights. I assume it was in your greenhouse under lights before you sent it to me.
Yes indeed it was, glad you have protection!

28F overnight. Showering made sure all foliage had a nice ice-crusting. At sunrise showered again with groundwater and thawed things out. Should all be fine. (No option to move all my trees)

Weather says Monday night down to 33, Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 36 with wind chills low to high 20s. Frost Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Glas my deciduous are still in the coldframe. Will cover that up to protect buds that are popping.

Pines and junipers should be fine on the bench.

This is brutal. My winter body count was already at an all time high!
Yeah I lost my really nice hemlock this winter because the fan got turned towards it. Usually I only lose trees I kinda hate and neglect. This one hurt a lot.

Sorry to hear that.

A lot of accidents here...from black ice this morning.

Same here. My lows are 32f and 27f for Tuesday and Wednesday. I put my tropicals back inside yesterday because we were in the mid 30s last night. I will probably will just leave them in there until Thursday.
I have a mallsai Chinese Elm in full leaf and my yardmadori Mulberry is leafing out now, just repotted a few days ago. I'll bring them in too.
Classic.

So saying 30° tonight and 25° tomorrow night so all my trees in pots and grow bags/boxes in basement. It's 50-60° down there but not much light but only place I have that will not get to freezing. This is time I'm glad I only have 25 trees in pots/grow bags, boxes.

Me too man ....I am no too far from you and this winter have killed so many of my trees....Im guessing it was the extreme prolong cold spell and than quick warm up.
I think it just got much colder for far longer. I had two Hokkaido elms that have survived three winters without blinking. Both are completely toast now.
